Sam Middlemas is a
twenty year-old up and coming road race star. Sam is an ex-national Supermoto rider with a
background in motocross, who after two successful years of 600cc club racing is heading
for the National Superstock 600 series at British Superbike meetings for 2008.
2007 was Sam's breakthrough season where he began to make a name for himself on the amateur club racing scene. Sam was able to rack up many podiums and race wins, gaining his National race license along the way on his journey towards the professional ranks.
In 2006 Sam started road racing in the Rookie 600 series. Sam adapted himself to riding street-based bikes quickly; before his first season he had never ridden anything other than motocross-based bikes before!
It is common knowledge within the racing paddock that Sam trains hard for his racing; off the track working on his fitness, cycling many miles a week and also training at the gym whenever time permits. He also studies books to try and gain any advantage he can on track. Due to his impressive results so far, he has been taken under the wing of, and receives guidance from, Brian Nicholson of BN Race Science, who himself raced for the Honda factory team in the 1990's.
Local support is also received from long-time family friend Pete Norman from Stanton Service Station in Stoney Stanton. Sam appreciates all the help he receives from his sponsors and would like to thank the previously mentioned and the following: Race Products, Paul Treen Motors, Motul, MMRS Radiators.
